After 40 plus years of working as a lineman / electrician and Dee Dee in banking in the dreaded Northern Virginia area, we retired and built a home in Madison County. We have a small farm and now raise cattle. I haul cows for local people and when the truck and trailer wheels roll, my dog "Maddie" is always ready to ride! We enjoy life in the country now and everyday is a Saturday.

We took a wonderful cruise to Alaska August of 2010 - Beautiful country and then an extra 5 days afterwards and toured the coust of Washingtion and Oregon. That too was beautiful country and water.

Life is good for us in Madison County Virginia. We love the beauty of the County and the people are great. It was a good choice for our retirement home and a great place to bring our grandchildren.
